FSU football added two more important pieces to its 2022 recruiting class in the past few days.

Offensive tackle Daughtry Richardson and defensive tackle Daniel Lyons gave the Noles 17 commits in the 2022 recruiting cycle.

That’s nearly 70 percent of the class complete as the Noles get ready to begin fall camp next week.

The importance of that can’t be understated as the coaches work to solidify the recruiting class down the stretch.

The coaches will continue to recruit the current commits, but this means they can spend more time directly on the players they have graded the highest on their recruiting board.

The good news is some of these targets are interchangeable somewhat, based on how the recruitment goes. If they miss on one player there’s another option available who they are recruiting just as hard.

The days of spending time on select targets the entire recruiting cycle without any other options and scrambling when the No. 1 option goes elsewhere are over it seems.

I don’t have direct access as to who they have graded at what position. However, it’s fairly easy to figure out who the select targets are, with about eight spots remaining in the class.

FSU won’t land all of these targets, but there’s a solid shot they land a good portion of them provided they don’t lay an egg on the field in 2021. These are in no particular order of who I think will sign or commit.
