FSU football: 3 hidden areas Noles must improve in 2021
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football has a lot of questions heading into the 2021 season. Who’s going to win the starting quarterback position?
Will the offensive line take the next step forward to decency. Who will step up in the young wide receiver unit to help Kansas transfer, Andrew Parchment?
Will the Noles have a legitimate pass rush for the first time since 2018 with Brian Burns?
How will this team start games? Will they begin games looking to dominate and put teams away early? How will they respond to adversity? Will they fold like in years past or respond with a sense of urgency?
That’s only the beginning of the questions for a team looking to get over the hump in Mike Norvell’s second season at the helm.
Truthfully, it’s year one since the program and staff didn’t have an actual offseason to do everything needed to operate at optimal levels.
I know some fans don’t want to use it as an excuse. It’s not an excuse, it’s reality, and only a handful of coaching staff across the country had to endure that experience last year.
None of them produced great results, and hopefully, we’ll get a season to properly assess things under normal circumstances. There are several things this team needs to improve upon, but the three things we’ll go over in this piece will be critical to their success or detriment.
