FSU football coaches had one of the most memorable recruiting weekends in the past few years with four commitments. Could there be more coming?

Last week began with the commitment of three-star linebacker Omar Graham Jr. That commitment wasn’t much of a surprise as he had been trending to the Noles for a while.

However, the coaching staff added four more commitments a couple of days later with several players on their official visits to Tallahassee.’

Here’s a list of those players in case you were not on social media much over the weekend:

  • Trevion Williams: 4-star DE
  • Qae’shon Sapp: 4-star OL
  • Kanaya Charlton: 3-star OL
  • Bishop Thomas: 3-star DT

However, the Noles may not be done yet, with 10-12 spots remaining in the class. The Noles looked like they made a move with linebacker target Jaron Willis who told Noles247 FSU gave him something to think about, although he’s committed to Georgia Tech.

Alabama blue-chip Antavious Woody announced he’ll be making a decision soon after visiting FSU football over the weekend. Blue-chip offensive lineman Jaylen Early announced a July 15th commitment date. Three-star tight end Jerrale Powers announced a July 2nd commitment date and said the Noles lead his recruitment as he left his visit.

All three of the latter have received numerous 247 Crystal Ball Predictions over the past day or so. One thing you’ll notice is all of these players fit what the Noles need the most.

That would be large bodies with athleticism in the trenches. The coaching staff is recruiting Willis as a linebacker, and he’s already 220 pounds.

FSU’s recruiting class ranks top five nationally with 13 commitments and a 46 percent blue-chip ratio. However, the addition of these players would put FSU football over the 50 percent blue-chip ratio.

Not to mention, they are still in the mix for blue-chip players Marvin Jones Jr., Julian Armella, Kevin Coleman, Jaleel Skinner, Jovantae Barnes, Wesley Bissainthe, DeMario Tolan, Alfonzo Allen, Jaylin Marshall, Damari Alston, and a host of other high three-stars.

This class could be special if we see improvement on the field in 2021.
