FSU football surprised a lot of folks when four-star quarterback AJ Duffy announced he was committing to the Noles a few weeks ago.

The FSU coaching staff understands they need big-time playmakers in this 2022 recruiting cycle.

One of those targets has been four-star WR/TE Jaleel Skinner.

The Noles already have three top 100 players committed in the 2022 recruiting cycle. Will Skinner find a spot in the class?

Skinner announced his top s10 list of schools via his Twitter account Monday afternoon:

Mike Norvell and the coaching staff offered Wilson in July 2020 during the pandemic shut down. Skinner holds 25 offers, and every major program would take him as a commit on the spot.

Skinner lists as the No. 94 player overall, No. 3 tight end, and No. 3 player in South Carolina. He checks in at 6′ 5″ and 210 pounds with 75 percent (two votes) of the 247 Crystal Ball predictions going to Florida, and another one going to Clemson with a medium confidence level.

The Clemson prediction is from October 2020 and the Florida predictions are from February 2021.

So those are relatively old at this point, but both teams made the top 10 list along with FSU football.

FSU landed No. 3 wide receiver in the 2021 class from South Carolina last recruiting cycle in Joshua Burrell.

I know FSU recruits are working on him, and he would fill a huge need at wide receiver/tight end. He’d be an exciting contrast to five-star Kevin Coleman if the Noles could land the two playmakers.

FSU has a speed WR committed from South Florida in Devaughn Mortimer, not to mention it’s possible FSU commit Travis Hunter Jr. could play some wide receiver as well.

It’ll be interesting to see how things move once the NCAA recruiting dead period ends on June 1. Many players are setting up official visits, and it could be special if the Noles could get him on campus.

It looks like Skinner is set to visit Florida on June 9th, so hopefully, the Noles will get him on campus this summer at one of their camps.
