FSU football coaches wasted no time with blue-chip offensive lineman Qae’shon Sapp on his official visit. Sapp announced weeks ago he planned to announce his commitment on July 3rd.

He released a final four list of schools a couple of days ago, with the July 3rd date still intact.

However, the official visit to Tallahassee made it impossible to wait that long before announcing his commitment to the Noles Saturday afternoon.

Sapp announced the commitment on Instagram while riding in the car with his mother and father:

Sapp visited Florida on June 1st and Auburn on June 2nd before attending FSU’s camp on June 5th. Sapp went back to Auburn on June 7th for another unofficial visit before officially visiting Florida on June 11th.

Sapp officially visited Cincinnati on June 18th, before making FSU his final stop before the established July 3rd commitment date.

It’s not a total surprise he chooses the Noles over Georgia, Florida, and Cincinnati. Sapp had several 247 Crystal Ball Predictions for the Noles.

However, I think the decision to make the announcement Saturday may have been. It’s also huge because Sapp is teammates with FSU linebacker target Jaron Willis, who is also on his official visit to Tallahassee.

Could the Sapp commitment influence his decision to flip from Georgia Tech to the Noles? Sapp checks in at 6’5″ and 320 pounds with 27 offers. He is ranked as the No. 327 player overall and No. 32 offensive tackle.

Qae’shon Sapp is the No. 11 commitment for Mike Norvell in the 2022 recruiting cycle. The class climbs to No. 5 in the national rankings with the latest addition. The Noles can add at least one more commitment before the weekend is over as there are several players still on campus.
