FSU football fans don’t want to hear it, but I’ve said it many times the failure to address the quarterback position is a huge reason Clemson surpassed the Noles.

Quarterback play was the biggest difference in Clemson beating the Noles in 2015 and 2016(and the refs in that one).

FSU rivals stepped their games up at the position last year as well. Miami dipped into the transfer portal for D’Eriq King to revive an offense that was pedestrian at best the past couple of years.

Florida had to get a Heisman contender year from Kyle Trask to win eight games. FSU coaches dipped into the transfer portal to stabilize the position with McKenzie Milton.

They already have one of the top quarterbacks for 2022 committed in AJ Duffy. However, the coaching staff isn’t resting on their laurels with future quarterback recruiting.

I’m convinced the FSU coaching staff is a step above when evaluating film and recruits in person.

The evidence speaks for itself with how several players they have offered or committed have climbed the rankings.

They are getting ahead of the game at several positions, but I get excited about how the staff is handling future quarterback recruiting.

I know it seems like a long way away, but being ahead of the game now will pay off dividends as long as they show improvement on the field in 2021.

Here’s how the staff is making a difference in the position.
