FSU football had some recruiting momentum going into the spring game a couple of weeks ago.

The staff and some commits have put in a ton of work with the 2022 recruiting classes and beyond.

However, the same way momentum begins, it can end in the blink of an eye. FSU lost a commitment from a 2023 commit and two from the 2022 class in the past couple of weeks.

The 2023 de-commitment made sense when you look at when the young man committed last year. One of the 2022 de-commits was more of a mutual variety, but the other was a big loss.

However, the recruiting dead period will end on June 1st, and the Noles could use some new recruiting momentum heading into the summer months.

Some help could be on the way with four-star linebacker target Jaron Willis. Willis set a commitment date for May 1st at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Willis has 28 offers from FSU, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia Tech, Miami, Auburn, Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Missouri, Nebraska, Ole Miss, LSU, Texas A&M, Michigan, Ole Miss, and others.

Willis is the No. 150 player overall, No. 13 outside linebacker, and No. 17 player in Georgia. The Noles offered just over a year ago and made his final six lists of schools on March 24.

Those schools were FSU, Arkansas, Florida, Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Georgia Tech. Willis came to the FSU spring game a couple of weeks ago and said he planned to attend the Georgia Tech spring game a couple of days ago.

Those seem to be the two schools recruiting him the hardest, but he has official visits set up for this summer.

Willis plans to officially visit Arkansas from June 4th-6th and plans to officially visit Georgia Tech on June 11th-13th. Ole Miss could get an official visit as well, according to 247Sports.

FSU holds two 247 Crystal Ball Predictions (100 percent). If Willis announces his commitment for the Noles, it would be huge for momentum. Willis is a blue-chip linebacker from Georgia who attends the same high school as FSU safety Jammie Robinson.

Set your alarms for Saturday FSU football fans, and hopefully, we’ll get some good news!
