FSU football finds itself in a situation most schools would dream of when it comes to recruiting.

The Noles have a four-star 2022 prostyle quarterback committed in Nicco Marchiol. Marchiol committed to the Noles on January 31st while on FSU’s campus and has recruited hard for the Noles ever since.

However, news broke Tuesday with four-star dual-threat quarterback MJ Morris naming the Noles his leader, according to Noles247.

The Noles also made the final four of four-star prostyle quarterback AJ Duffy who expects to make an announcement in a couple of weeks.

I think it’s safe to say the Noles have momentum on the trail, but this quarterback news excites me beyond words.

I firmly believe Jimbo Fisher’s inability to sign elite quarterbacks(without dismissing them) after Jameis Winston, is one of the prime reasons Clemson and Dabo Swinney surpassed the Noles for the conference and national supremacy.

A program having a great to elite quarterback is a game-changer, and FSU saw that first-hand with Clemson signing Deshaun Watson.

I think the smoke with AJ Duffy was him drawing attention to himself, not to mention it wouldn’t make much sense to sign two prostyle quarterbacks in the same class.

Enter Morris, who’s the No. 4 dual-threat quarterback in the nation and hails from nearby Atlanta, Georgia.

Georgia is a state that produces great talent close to FSU football, with Morris the type of player that others from that state would want to play with at FSU.

I like Duffy as a player, and he’s incredibly talented, but he’s originally from California, and we’ve seen how most of the westside Nole stuff plays out historically.

Marchiol continues to recruit hard for the Noles despite the smoke from Duffy and Morris. That’s the type of player I want, one that’s not afraid of competition. If Morris commits, that’s a sign he’s not afraid of competition with Marchiol committed already.

The quarterback room at FSU is the best it has been in quite some time regarding talent and depth. If the Noles sign two blue-chip quarterbacks in the 2022 class? I think it’s safe to say the Noles are on their way back to the top.
