FSU football is in the market for offensive tackles in the 2021 recruiting cycle. One Alabama prospect is high on the Noles.

FSU football continues to make the top lists of schools for some of the nation’s best players.

The Noles made another top list Saturday when three-star offensive tackle Rod Orr announced his top five schools.

FSU offered Orr on May 2 as the Gadsden City product holds offers from 29 schools total.

He narrowed the list to five with his Tuesday morning announcement via his Twitter account below:

A list of Tennessee, Oregon, Florida State, Missouri, and Ole Miss. One thing that stands out first is all of the schools are located in the southeast aside from Oregon.

Orr is considered the No. 377 player nationally, No. 28 offensive tackle, and No. 13 player in the state of Alabama.

He checks in at 6’7″ and 296 pounds with offers from the likes of FSU, Missouri, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Oregon, Arkansas, Arizona State, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Syracuse, TCU, and a host of smaller schools.

It should be noted neither Alabama nor Auburn has offered the in-state product. If that happens, that likely changes his recruitment drastically.

Tennesee is the school that offered him first, with the Noles being the last school in his top-five to extend an offer. However, FSU offensive line coach Alex Atkins has worked hard to build a relationship despite Orr not being able to visit campus in-person.

There are no 247 Crystal Ball Predictions except for one voter casting an undecided prediction. FSU has needs at offensive tackle and presents the program with the most potential to be great again among all of the programs listed.

The rumor is Orr wants to decide on his commitment soon, and a commitment to FSU football would be huge in meeting a need with a quality player.
