FSU football fans have been asking for the return of white numbers on the uniforms since forever. See how they react to it finally happening.

It’s been a long time since FSU football dawned white numbers on their uniforms. The Noles went to a different color after the 2013 football season, looking eerily close to Boston College.

So close, one NFL Draft analyst mistakenly said Brian Burns plays for Boston College and not FSU football last year when he was selected in the first round.

Coincidentally, the change in numbers came at a time when the Noles began their slide off the mountain top. Of course, some superstitious fans will find anything to place blame when their team isn’t on top anymore,

Nevertheless, the white numbers are back and were revealed via the FSU football Twitter account Thursday afternoon:

Thoughts

As you can see, some FSU football fans are still not happy with the outcome. I’m not sure if it’s the lighting or not, but it does look more yellow around the white numbers than I’d like.

The movement to go back to the white numbers was fan-driven, and credit has to be given to them and Willie Taggart, who gave his word FSU would have white numbers again before being fired after the Miami game.

However, credit has to be given to Mike Norvell and the FSU administration for seeing the change through.

The numbers were never that big a deal to me, and I didn’t attribute the decline of the program to a number color change or the change of the logo. However, I do like them better than the uniforms the Noles went to in 2014. I also like that FSU will not look as similar to Boston College.

So hopefully, FSU fans understand the logo isn’t going to be changed, and now it’s time to concentrate on Keep CLIMBing and winning football games!
