FSU football could have some great recruiting news on the horizon. Could the Noles add another 2021 big time commit soon?
FSU football recruiting has picked up a bit for the 2021 recruiting cycle. The Noles have added two commits within the past two weeks as they have seven players verbally committed.
They’ve made several top recruiting lists for other players, and one player they were in on early is three-star linebacker, Andrew Jones.
Jones hails from Louisiana with FSU being the first Power Five offer he received in March when he was able to visit campus.
Jones left Tallahassee with them as his leader but has since picked up several offers from the likes of Georgia, Texas, Ole Miss, Louisville, Texas Tech, and others.
Thursday morning Jones announced he would be announcing his commitment in a few days:
Commiting Saturday @4pm!!!

It’s a change in plans from just a few weeks ago when Jones said he didn’t plan to commit anywhere until he went on his officials or unofficial visits.
Not committing till i go on my OVs or unofficials...see where my home will be!

Thoughts on his recruitment
FSU is the last place he visited and the first big-time program to offer him so that’s a promising start.
He’d be a welcome addition to the 2021 class as he was recently received his fourth star from 247 Sports. The 247 ranking increase is a stark contrast to the other ranking sites out there. They have him as the No. 160 player nationally and the No. 6 inside linebacker in the nation.
Overall, Jones is considered the No. 391 player nationally and No. 15 inside linebacker. He’s the No. 13 overall player in the state of Louisiana. As of now, FSU football holds all five 247 Crystal Ball Predictions for Jones to choose the Noles.
However, it’ll be worth keeping an eye on between now and Saturday if any of those changes or if more predictions for the Noles come in.
UPDATED
Due to some personal complications, my commitment will be pushed back to after June 30.

Well, guess we’ll have to wait a little bit longer folks!
