FSU football has been looking for secondary help in the 2021 recruiting class and has a new target is three-star safety Andrew Mukuba.

FSU football could lose a few members of its secondary after the 2020 season is complete. The Noles only took two safeties in the 2020 recruiting cycle and will be in the mix to add a couple in 2021.

They’ve offered 21 safety recruits from the 2021 recruiting cycle, with two of them coming this week alone.

They offered Baylor commit Cisco Caston a couple of days ago and offered three-star safety Andrew Mukuba Friday.

Mukuba announced the news via his Twitter account.

Mukuba hails from Austin, Texas, and is considered the No. 362 player nationally, No. 14 ranked safety, and the No. 34 player in the state of Texas.

He holds 34 offers from the likes of FSU, Arkansas, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Missouri, Tennessee, LSU, Boise State, Clemson, Baylor, Texas, TCU, Oklahoma, Texas Tech and others.

He’s listed at 6’0 185 pounds and also runs track in high school in events like the 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, and the long and triple jump.

Mukuba isn’t the biggest specimen when it comes to the safety position, but the film I saw tells me he doesn’t lack physicality and invites it.

It doesn’t look like he’s visited any schools or participated in any camps settings where his physical attributes can be verified.

However, his offer list lets us know he’s a quality player and one that could be rated higher once recruiting rankings are updated again.

Oklahoma leads the 247 Crystal Ball Predictions with 67 percent of the votes (2 of 3).  The FSU football coaching staff are doing a good job of flooding social media with edits and offering virtual tours.

As with all the targets right now, it’s all about getting the players to campus once this COVID-19 issue is resolved for them to make a move in this recruitment.
