FSU football has needed help along its offensive line in the past few recruiting cycles. Four-star 2021 OT Micah Morris is interested in the Noles.

FSU football needs help at the offensive line position in 2021. The Noles have failed to address the line with quality players who can play early in the past few recruiting cycles.

The Noles don’t have any offensive linemen committed for the 2021 class and will likely need to take 4-5 signees.

The good news is Mike Norvell and staff have done a good job of recognizing the deficiencies on the roster and have been working diligently to fix the issue.

Four-star offensive tackle Micah Morris announced his top five schools Tuesday afternoon, and the Noles were listed:

Morris hails from Kingsland, Georgia, and holds 21 offers from likes of FSU, Georgia, Arkansas, Auburn, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Clemson, LSU, Georgia Tech, LSU, Miami, Minnesota, NC State, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and others.

He’s considered the No. 73 player nationally, No. 11 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 9 ranked player in Georgia.

He’s 6’4″ 316 pounds with several big-time programs vying for his commitment. The good news is the primary recruiter for the Noles is offensive line coach Alex Atkins who has excellent ties in the Peach State.

Atkins had a relationship with Morris before being hired at FSU and was one of the first players Atkins reached out to after getting hired by the Noles.

Morris visited FSU in January, shortly after being contacted by Atkins and said the Noles were a legitimate option in his exit interview. That seems to hold now that they’ve made his list of final five schools.

FSU QB commit Luke Altmyer is already on the job via social media.

In-state Georgia holds the 247 crystal ball lead with three of the four predictions, South Carolina has the other crystal ball. However, FSU offers immediate playing time and is only a few hrs drive down the interstate.

Morris could start for FSU right now, that’s how big of a priority he is, and I don’t believe there are 10 offensive tackles better than him in the nation.

Coach Atkins has to get him back on campus, and if so, things could get interesting!
