FSU football has gotten off to a good start in 2021 recruiting class. Here are the three biggest needs for the Mike Norvell to meet.

FSU football wrapped up its second transitional recruiting class in the last three seasons earlier this week.

A couple of players from the transfer portal or JUCO ranks can be added later, but the No. 22 ranking will not change.

It’s the worst ranking on paper in well over a decade, but the coaching staff did a solid job of meeting a lot of positional needs.

That’s one of the biggest differences between the current and past staff. It’s great to get blue-chip players but if other positional needs are not met those rankings become fool’s gold.

Mike Norvell addressed needs at quarterback, running back, wide receiver and linebacker. They were able to make some solid additions on the offensive line.

However, they were not able to land many immediate difference-makers in the class aside from Demorie Tate.

That’s going to be a challenge for the staff moving forward. Mike Norvell has a reputation for putting a staff together capable of developing players. However, they need more players who can contribute immediately in the following positions.
