FSU football has had a strong week with its 2020 recruiting class. They look to add a few more pieces as National Signing Day nears.

FSU football has the No. 20 ranked 2020 recruiting class in the nation with 23 commits. The coaching staff has done a good job of meeting almost every need in the class.

The biggest gripe from most fans is the lack of star power, but that’s to be expected in a transitional class.

At this point in the game, it’s comparable to NFL teams late in the draft as teams look to take the best players available that help meet needs.

Two recruits in three-star edge rusher TJ Davis three-star defensive back and Sidney Williams are already on campus for their respective visits.

Three-star linebacker DJ Lundy is supposed to arrive Saturday.

FSU still needs pass rushers in this class so Davis will ultimately meet a need there. Williams is a big cornerback FSU defensive backs coach Marcus Woodson has had a relationship since before he came to the Noles.

DJ Lundy is a state championship wrestler while playing linebacker. I would welcome any state championship wrestler on my team regardless of position. Those guys typically have a mentality that you’d want your entire team to have.

Yes, they are all three-stars but they are all ball players that would help raise the floor of the team. Davis and Lundy are from Georgia and Williams hails from Alabama.

FSU only has two defensive backs in the class and Williams would be a solid addition now that Kyle Meyers has transferred to Tulane.

Aside from these three players, all of the other 2020 targets will likely come from the transfer portal with offensive tackles.

The Noles are favorites to land both Davis and Williams with Lundy being pursued hard by Georgia and Virginia Tech.

Other than the Malachi Wideman saga, National Signing Day could be a quiet day the class it wrapped up for the most part. However, landing any of these three players between now and then would be a good thing.
