Two FSU football players are listed among the five best players of the decade in the ACC. Who would have thought the Noles got some respect?

Maybe my tirade about FSU football getting disrespected by the ACC on social media the other day got someone’s attention?

I just happened to be scrolling Twitter only to notice the ACC released a top 5 players of the decade list.

So of course I know there HAS to be FSU representation on it even though there’s only five spots. The only problem is it’s the ACC and we know they have a current love affair with Clemson and their recent success.

Lo and behold, both Jameis Winston and Jalen Ramsey book-ended the top five list.

I know it’s petty probably, but I absolutely can’t believe they placed Winston over Deshaun Watson. It doesn’t mean I don’t think Winston belongs at No. 1 because he’s worthy.

However, that just how bad the disrespect has been towards FSU football, particularly that 2013 team. The other players listed are definitely deserving as Luke Kuechly was an absolute tackling machine at Boston College.

Of course we know Lamar Jackson was like a video game character playing with a woefully less talented cast at Louisville.

I suppose I’d be cool with putting Jalen Ramsey on the list, but if I were going to choose a Nole I would probably have to replace him with Dalvin Cook.

He was a two-time All-American who carried the FSU offense in 2015 and 2016, leaving FSU as its all-time leading rusher in just three seasons.

It’s good to see the ACC finally show some love to FSU despite the program being down the past three years. I have to call them out when I feel they missed the mark, so here I am giving them props on a good top five that includes two Noles.
