FSU football needs to close strong with its 2020 recruiting class. However, the coaching staff is already on the trails for 2021.

FSU football isn’t wasting any time with its new staff on the recruiting trail. The staff seems to be looking to take advantage of their ties in Louisiana with David Johnson officially on staff.

The latest offer goes to four-star wide receiver Destyn Pazon who hails from Edna Karr High School in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Johnson was head coach at two high schools in New Orleans in the early part of last decade and coached eventual NFL players Tyrann Mathieu and Leonard Fournette.

Pazon has 15 offers from the likes of Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Baylor, Colorado, Tennessee, Miami and the hometown school LSU.

It’s incredibly difficult to get players from that state to go out of state, especially if it’s a player LSU really wants. However, the Noles did sign four-star wide receiver Ja’Khi Douglas in December who had a lot of big time offers.

Pazon is 6’0″ and 170 pounds while currently ranked as the No. 206 player nationally and No. 35 wide receiver.

He’s considered the No. 8 player in the state of Louisiana. Ironically, Douglas is ranked the No. 40 ranked wide receiver nationally and No. 9 ranked player in the state.

The Noles will look to take a number of wide receivers in the 2021 class. They’ll lose DJ Matthews and surely Tamorrion Terry who could have left for the NFL Draft this year.

Mike Norvell talks about his offense being built for playmakers and Pazon definitely fits the bill.
