FSU football: 3 reasons why Boise State game is must win for Noles
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football has a huge game with Boise State Saturday at 12 p.m. It’s a game the Noles can’t afford to lose and I give you three reasons why.
FSU football didn’t know if they’d have a chance to play this game less than 24 hours ago due to Hurricane Dorian.
However, here we are with the Noles getting a chance to open up the 2019 season on the familiar grounds of Doak Campbell Stadium against the Boise State Broncos.
It’s a noon kickoff and the stadium will likely not have the same atmosphere as it would have been in Jacksonville with a 7 p.m. kickoff.
Nevertheless, this is what we’ve been waiting for all offseason to get the terrible taste of 2018 out of our mouths.
Can Willie Taggart lead the Noles back to prominence? We’ve talked about how he won the 2019 offseason again, but now it’s time to stack W’s where they really count.
Will the hires of offensive coordinator Kendal Briles, offensive line coach Randy Clements and wide receivers coach Ron Dugans pay off?
They’ll have an experienced Boise State team coming to town with the reputation of a smaller school capable of beating Power 5 programs.
The Broncos won 10 games last season but lost the only game they had against a Power 5 school in Oklahoma State. However, they will be starting a true freshman at quarterback which historically would favor the Noles.
It’s no question a must win game for the FSU football program as they come in as betting favorites. Here’s three reasons why that’s the case.
