FSU football returns one of the most talented teams in the nation this fall. Here are 5 players that need to step up their play in 2019.

FSU football may not even be ranked going into the season when they take on Boise State in their opener.  The feeling going into 2019 is very different than last season as FSU fans are in wait and see mode with this team.

The Noles will have Kendal Briles at the helm offensively with total control and return most of their talent on that side of the ball.

One positive is the 2019 schedule will not be quite as tough as last season and it should allow the Noles to reach a bowl game at the very least.

Most win projections have FSU football at 7.5 wins which makes sense considering how last season went and new coaches onboard.

The Noles have experience at quarterback and one of the most talented running backs in the nation in Cam Akers. FSU wide receivers are as talented and deep as they have been in over a decade.

The defensive line should be stout against the run and the secondary looks to have upgraded on paper at least with the linebackers looking like more of a strength than liability now..

The biggest question of course is the maligned offensive line. Can Randy Clements work some magic along with playcalling from Kendal Briles to hide that deficiency as much as possible?

We’re going to take a look at five FSU players that must step up their games for FSU football to return to respectable in 2019.
