FSU football had a large number of recruits to visit during spring game festivities. We have their reactions from their time in Tallahassee.

FSU football had a huge recruiting weekend in 2018 during the first spring game in the Willie Taggart era.

That weekend saw multiple blue chip recruits commit to the Noles with three of them eventually signing their NOI.

The 2019 spring game didn’t net any commitments (publicly), but it appears the coaching staff laid some solid ground work on a number of highly rated prospects.

Check out some of their reactions from their time in Tallahassee over the weekend.

Thoughts

As you can see the coaching staff did a great job of getting players on campus. They likely had at least 30-40 players that are actually being evaluated and priority to get a commitment from.

There were players from the 2020 class as well as some up and comers for 2021, 2022 and beyond. I continue to harp on the importance of this 2020 class for a number of reasons.

They have to hit this one out of the park because of the lack of star power in the last two classes. They’ve signed some good players and a couple that are elite in Jaiden Lars-Woodbey, Akeem Dent and Travis Jay.

However, they really need to hit it out of the park along the defensive line, offensive line, running back and wide receiver. I think they’ll do well at running back and wide receiver, but it’s in the trenches that I need to see this coaching staff really make an impact moving forward.

Hopefully we’ll see a few of the players above announce their commitments to the Noles sooner than later to get some needed momentum on the recruiting trails.
