FSU football is looking to put the finishing touches on its 2019 class within the next week. They’re already working on 2020 with their junior day this weekend.

FSU football got a late start on its 2019 recruiting class because Willie Taggart had to salvage the mess left by the prior staff.

That shouldn’t be the case with 2020 as FSU has already sent out 150 offers and will be hosting a number of recruits for its junior day going on Saturday.

Usually these players are invited by the staff and it’s a good opportunity for these players to meet the coaches, see the campus and meet with faculty from prospective programs they could choose as a major.

Recruiting is all about relationships and anytime you can get a prospect on campus it increases the probability of getting that prospect to commit.

Here’s a list of some players that announced on Twitter they were visiting FSU football this weekend:

2020 QB target who was offered last week from Sandalwood HS in Jacksonville. Home of former Nole DeMarcus Walker.

Class of 2022 offensive tackle who’s 6’5″ 322 pounds from Mississippi.

2021 QB from Orange Park, Florida.

Class of 2021 safety from Auburndale, Florida.

2020 TE who’s 6’6″ 240 from Tampa, Florida.

2020 6’4″ 300 pound offensive tackle from Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, FL.

2020 composite 4-star athlete from Cocoa, Florida.

2020 composite 3-star offensive tackle from Cocoa, Florida.

Thoughts

As you can see the staff are already attracting targets at key positions for 2020 and beyond. They are more players than this visiting I’m sure, but this was what I was able to find scouring social media for a few minutes.

If the Noles can put a better product out on the field in 2019 it should help immensely with recruiting moving forward. These players want to believe in Willie Taggart and staff.

Winning will help change the perception of the program and offer stability as players understand Taggart will be on the hot seat with another season like 2018.
