FSU football is in the middle of its biggest recruiting weekend prior to National Signing Day next month. The players seem to be having a good time on campus.

FSU football needs to have a great recruiting weekend with almost all of its major targets on campus.

Willie Taggart opts to have a mixture of recruits and commits in big groups as that seems to foster more of a family atmosphere.

It also seems to work because these big recruiting weekends have produced major results when it comes to players committing.

It’s a great opportunity for the coaches AND the players/commits to help build those relationships needed to build enough trust for players to commit.

Things seems to be being well thus far on the recruiting weekend:

Reaction

Two 2019 FSU signees showing love to the Noles.

Listen, Odell Sheffield might be the most underrated recruit from the 2017 class. Those in the know know why that’s the case too. That kid bleeds garnet and gold and reps hard.

Told ya!

FSU running back’s coach feeling great about things.

Big offensive line target there.

The Noles landed graduate transfer offensive tackle Ryan Roberts via that tweet from Coach Taggart.

Thoughts

It looks like most of FSU’s major targets made it to campus. They have targets at positions of need like QB, offensive line and linebacker.

Of course the commitment from Roberts will play huge dividends as he started for Northern Illinois the past two years.

There isn’t a ton of social media posting from the recruits while they’re on campus. What that tells me is they are too busy having a great time to think about posting so much online.

That’ll probably increase as they begin to leave campus Sunday, but for now all things seem to be going well.

Since Roberts announced his commitment I would’t be surprised to see more over the next day or so since Taggart likes to release commitments in waves.
