FSU football will play arguably their toughest game when No. 2 Clemson comes to Tallahassee Saturday and the players seem excited for the matchup.

FSU football is coming off its most complete game of the season with a 38-17 beatdown of Wake Forest.

Aside from the first six minutes, FSU dominated the Demon Deacons in all phases of the game.

Now the players and staff turn their focus to Clemson who have beaten FSU the last three season. However, all three of the games have been competitive with FSU in the mix to win all three with Clemson pulling away late.

The (7-0)Tigers come into Tallahassee as huge betting favorites with -17 point spread. However, that seems to have excited FSU players as they voiced their thoughts on social media Monday.

Thoughts

It’s been a season of crazy hype and lowest of lows for the FSU football team. Expectations went from the thought of being 7-0 or 6-1 at worst going into the Clemson game to currently 4-3.

However, the players have shown great support for one another and it’s obvious the culture in Tallahassee is changing.

We’ve seen FSU get punched in the mouth and come back to win a game against Louisville. We saw them blow a huge lead to a rival and respond with a blowout win in their next game. Those are signs things are heading in the right direction.

The other thing I like is what D.J. Matthews said as it shows competitiveness and trust in his teammates. Coach Taggart also reiterated it in his speech Monday.

He said these teams have a tough game coming up because they have to play FSU.

That’s the type of attitude that’s going to win a lot of football games moving forward.
