FSU football was a bit unlucky last season with injuries to some key players. Here’s five players FSU can’t afford to lose in 2018.

FSU football recruits at an elite level to create depth, but sometimes elite recruiting can’t overcome the injury bug.

FSU dealt with a number of injury situations in 2017. Deondre Francois was injured in the first game last year and missed the remainder of the season.

Jacques Patrick and Keith Gavin dealt with injuries during the season. Cyrus Fagan and Carlos Becker missed time with injuries and the same with Trey Marshall.

The offensive line was banged up much of the year too. All in all, FSU did about what you’d expect when having to starting a true freshman QB who didn’t early enroll.

One positive is James Blackman received valuable snaps under his belt which has improved QB depth a ton.

The Noles have lost some bit time players the past two season (Francois in 2017 and Derwin James in 2016).

Hopefully the injury bug stays away this season, but here’s five players the ‘Noles can’t afford to lose.
