FSU recruiting has hit its stride on the recruiting trails this week and surpassed by Florida and Miami in the national rankings.

There was a small lull for FSU recruiting since the spring game weekend in April that saw the Noles land three huge commitments for the 2019 class.

At the time, FSU was ranked No. 1 and we realize it was early in the cycle but it’s always good for the optics.

In fact, it’s still somewhat early in this recruiting cycle, but most of the foundations for each class have been laid.

Want to know what else is good for the optics? Rival fans basically admitting they are getting crushed on the recruiting trails!

FSU recruiting has the best recruiting class by a wide margin compared to Florida and Miami. I understand the actual ranking doesn’t mean everything due to class size, etc.

247 Composite Rankings:

  • FSU: No. 10th nationally with 12 commitments (92.17 player average), 83.3 percent blue chip
  • Miami: No. 11 nationally with 16 commitments (88.94 player average), 37.5 percent blue chip
  • Florida: No. 29th nationally with 10 commitments (88.48 player average), 40 percent blue chip

FSU recruiting wins in every single metric against both schools, but is absolutely blowing the Florida Gators out the water. At least Miami has more commitments at this point.

Bro, it’s a one team race!

Newsflash, Florida has been getting smoked on and off the field the last decade.

Hold up, I thought Mullen was the savior like McElwain was?

Thoughts

It’s amazing a Power 5 school with as many resources as Florida can struggle this bad for this long. FSU had significantly fewer resources and didn’t fall to these levels in the lost decade.

In fact, FSU hasn’t been under .500 in over 36 years with the longest bowl streak in the nation.

Now, I expect Florida to rise in the rankings at some point because their class is relatively small. However, they have MAJOR work to do with the early signing period coming in December.

They are getting smoked on the recruiting trails by South Carolina and Mississippi State. How can Dan Mullen be getting outworked by the guy that replaced him at Mississippi State?

Yet, their fans have the nerve to pay more attention to what Willie Taggart is doing compared to their coach!
