FSU football got some great news for its 2018 recruiting class Monday night.

FSU football will look to finish the 2018 recruiting cycle strong in the final three weeks. They received great news Monday night when composite four-star offensive line commit Christian Meadows essentially shut his recruitment down.

Meadows is one of three commits that didn’t sign during the early signing period in December. He’s ranked No. 265 overall and the No. 11 offensive guard in the nation.

He’s the No. 28 player in his home state of Georgia. Meadows has been committed to the ‘Noles since July 29th, 2016, but had been taking a look at other schools.

That seemed to come to an end Monday night when he posted the following from his Twitter account.

It’s a big time get and you know that’s the case when fans get this excited for an offensive lineman which makes two in this class.

FSU plans to take a class of around 18-20 players, so that leaves about 10 or 11 spots to fill in the next three weeks.

The blue chip ratio (80 percent) in this class is off the charts and will need to be since this class will be smaller than usual.

The ‘Noles are in a good spot for a handful of blue chip players, but it’s going to be interesting to see how Willie Taggart and a nearly complete staff close on the trail.

There’s still a need for wide receivers, quarterback, linebacker, defensive linemen and possibly another defensive back.
