FSU Football: Fans react to Jaiden Woodbey committing to ‘Noles
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football landed its first five-star recruit in the 2018 class with Jaiden Woodbey.
FSU football dealt with a lot of hate from rivals and national media not in the know during the early signing period Wednesday. The ‘Noles signed exactly who we thought they’d sign, but many tried to spin the narrative that FSU missed on several players.
The fact of the matter is FSU was never the leader for any of those players they were in the mix for as it simply Willie Taggart working miracles to get the ‘Noles a seat at the table.
Then the impossible happened as FSU landed a commitment from five-star safety Jaiden Woodbey.
The backstory is even more impossible as Woodbey has liked FSU since forever but was never offered by Jimbo Fisher and the old regime.
He even criticized FSU for not offering and new head coach Willie Taggart offered him the same day and had him on campus for an official visit within the week.
The rest is history.

Just an amazing pull by Willie Taggart. The first player he signs to FSU football that wasn’t a prior commitment is a five-star defensive back from California who was offered less than two weeks ago.
The addition to the 2018 recruiting class moves the ‘Noles up over 20 spots to No. 44. Woodbey is the ninth commitment in the class with FSU looking to add another four-star commitment Friday in Isaiah Bolden.
It’ll be interesting to see how the national media reacts to the news after they tried to clown the ‘Noles all day by posting how far down they were in the rankings.
