The college football season is now in full swing, so let’s take a stab at trying to make some money.

We’re back with another addition of Chop Chat’s best college football bets. We had another off week in week 10 and finished in the red again with a record of 0-3-2.

This now puts our overall record at 20-24-6 after 11 weeks. It’s the second consecutive week  we have a losing record, but let’s see if we can’t fix that this week.

Recap

  • FSU +17 vs. Clemson-If Deondre Francois were FSU QB….this line wouldn’t be close to what it is here. The total is low at 46…so oddsmakers expect a low scoring game. FSU has to avoid the turnovers…and if so…should be able to cover this. Push, got lucky and unlucky a couple of times…the useless Clemson TD in the final minutes crushed us though.
  • Notre Dame -3 vs. Miami-As I said last week…Miami is incredibly lucky and living off turnovers every week. Notre Dame is the better overall team and has beaten better competition. Loss, Miami continues to thrive on turnovers somehow…forcing four.
  • Georgia -3 vs. Auburn-Both teams have been playing well, but I like Georgia here as I feel they are the more complete team. Loss, Georgia got destroyed and nobody saw it coming.
  • NC State -3 vs. Boston College-NC State is the better team with the much better quarterback and defense. Boston College is getting too much love for the blowout win over FSU. Push, NC State should have covered easily as they missed THREE field goals.
  • Virginia Tech -3 vs. Georgia Tech-Four turnovers cost the Hokies against Miami last week. The VT defense should be able to handle GT’s triple option and their offense should have a better showing than against Miami. Loss, Virginia Tech had the cover and then allowed Georgia Tech to score on a 80 yard bomb….smh.

This Week’s Bets

Odds courtesy of SBRodds.com

  • Georgia Tech -6.5 vs. Duke: The Blue Devils just gave up over 200 rushing yards to Army and have been gashed on the ground most of the year. Not a good recipe against the triple option, plus Duke’s offense is anemic.
  • Wake Forest -1.5 vs. NC State: Wake Forest has historically owned NC State in Winston-Salem and has been playing at a higher level than NC State as of late. NC State’s the ranked team who’s an underdog and yall know my rule.
  • Syracuse vs. Louisville OVER 73: Both teams have defenses that are sieves and offenses that can put points up in up tempo offenses. Just hope they score TD’s instead of FG’s.
  • WVU -3 (buy hook) vs. Texas: Texas has played a lot of good teams tough and this will likely be another game like that. WVU at home with the better QB and offense.
  • UAB +11 vs. Florida: Man, Florida is a dumpster fire and UAB has some legit weapons on offense in their QB and RB. Has Florida given up on the season at 3-6? Gimme double-digit points.
