
FSU football will return to Doak Campbell Stadium for the first time this season against Louisiana Monroe.
Prior to the season this game was looked upon as a scrimmage of sorts to prepare for the Miami Hurricanes who’ll be coming to Tallahassee in week three.
These type of games are always necessary early in the season. It allows the coaching staff to work on somethings they’ve been going over in practice.
It allows the team to get experience in all three phases of the game.

However, little did we know it’s really going to be an audition of sorts for true freshman quarterback James Blackman as he replaces the injured Deondre Francois.
It will be his first college start after taking three snaps against Alabama where he basically handed the ball off three times to the running back.
Blackman was in high school just three months ago and has only been on FSU’s campus for a little over a month. However, it says something about him to surpass JJ Cosentino and Bailey Hockman in such a short time frame.
