Eliminate Dumb Penalties

This had to be one of the most frustrating things last season for FSU fans. The FSU football team ranked No. 123 in the nation in penalties as a team.

Now, all of those penalties were not on the offensive side of the ball, but think about how many times someone false started last season?

I never understand it. How can the offensive have so many false starts when they KNOW when the ball is going to be snapped?

How many holding calls were there on offense? FSU had too many instances where they shot themselves in the foot.

The final drive against Clemson when FSU was in field goal range is a prime example. They had back-to-back false start penalties on FIRST down making it second and 20.

An incomplete pass made it third and 20, and of course Deondre Francois is sacked on the next two plays and FSU loses the game.

FSU football has to be better than this in 2017 if they want to remain elite on that side of the ball.
