FSU basketball was in the final five for Kevin Knox who’s one of the top prep players in the nation. Fans reacted to Knox committing to Kentucky Saturday night.

FSU basketball was in the final five for Kevin Knox, a recruit whose father played football at FSU in the nineties.

Although Knox would have been a legacy recruit somewhat, it wasn’t considered a heavy favorite to land Knox who was also considering UNC, Duke and Kentucky.

FSU was battling the blue bloods of the blue bloods, and we learned from Andrew Wiggins that just because your parents attended FSU, it doesn’t mean much when it comes to basketball.

The shocker was Knox picking Kentucky instead of Duke or UNC on Saturday night and the fan reaction was terrific.

Thoughts

It’s not the end of the world. Kevin Knox is pretty much a one and down player, and FSU basketball just played that game with Jonathan Isaac last season and Malik Beasley the year before that.

However, it’s good to be in the mix with these type of players I suppose although FSU may have only been there because his father attended FSU.

Good luck at Kentucky kid.
