FSU FOOTBALL

Florida State fans were holding their breath as quarterback Thomas Castellanos exited the Kent State game with an injury in the second quarter. We all know the impact that Castellanos has on this football team.

Head football coach Mike Norvell was asked by the media on Tuesday about the injury of his talented signal-caller, and he responded with the following: "We'll drop the injury report to the ACC on Wednesday night."

The injury report was indeed dropped within that time frame by the conference.

THOUGHTS

Some fans are hyper-focusing on the fact that sophomore running back Kam Davis is out for the game with an injury. The fact of the matter is that the Seminoles have plenty of running backs on their roster to use. This is a situation where we at Chop Chat hope that Davis gets back to full strength.

There were some individuals who were confused by the thought of true freshman wide receiver Jayvan Boggs being questionable for the contest. Boggs will most likely play, along with defensive tackle Kevin Wynn and linebacker Caleb LaVallee (who are also questionable).

Something that is believed to go under the radar is that senior wide receiver Squirrel White is not listed on the injury report. That is massive news for the Seminoles to get the veteran back in the lineup after not recording a statistic last week against Kent State.

White had a monumental 40-yard reception versus Alabama in the season opener on a 3rd down and 11 conversion to eventually allow the Seminoles to tie the game at 7 in the early stages.
