Florida State needs to have some excitement in its football program. That is the nature of the best since the Seminoles finished 2024 with a 2-10 record.
The rumblings and frustrations have been around head football coach Mike Norvell by some individuals (I think the notion is ridiculous). However, there have been good moments while he has been the coach at Florida State, where he had a 10-3 season in 2022 and a 13-1 season in 2023.
The doubters have been looking at the Seminoles to replace him. One of the prime candidates to replace him by the opinion of some fans was Colorado head football coach Deion Sanders. Prime Time was a former Florida State player (even though he doesn't want to admit it).
Sanders continues to make headlines in the news. Reporters love getting quotes from him as he says things that generate discussions.
NEW: Deion Sanders is trying to face another team for Colorado's spring game on ESPN2 in April👀

"I would like to practice against someone for a few days, then you have the spring game and I think the public will be satisfied with that tremendously."https://t.co/XbRO8Npx9r pic.twitter.com/m2kht3lHvt
While I don't agree with some of the aspects that Sanders says, I love the enthusiasm that he has for spring games. In today's landscape of college football, several teams are opting out of playing spring games (reminds me of bowl season) due to the risk of injuries and tampering with players on the roster.
The Seminoles are not having its Spring Showcase in April due to the stadium getting renovated for its season opener versus Alabama. This was a bummer for Florida State fans that look forward to watch football in the spring.
Plus, this is a brand-new football team that fans are getting used to. I wished that Florida State could have played at Florida A&M's field for the Spring Showcase to give them more exposure as a program as well as continuing to build a positive relationship with Florida A&M.
I know that the spring game versus Colorado would never happen with Florida State, but that would be a sight that I would pay to watch.
