One of the biggest questions as we near the midway point of FSU fall camp was who would be the key players on special teams.
FSU lost two All-American players in Ryan Fitzgerald and Alex Mastromanno at place kicker and punter. We know who the likely replacements are, but they have little to no experience.
However, Mike Norvell spoke with the media on Wednesday and finally shed some light on who will contribute in punt and kickoff returns.
We had an idea that Sam Singleton and Jaylin Lucas would factor in at kickoff returns since they did it last year. Micahi Danzy is another name that Mike Norvell mentioned.

However, no details surrounding the punt return job had been shared until Wednesday.
Mike Norvell mentioned that Jaylin Lucas, Squirrel White, BJ Gibson, and Duce Robinson would be guys who could return punts.
Lucas and White have experience with it at their previous stops. Gibson returned one punt for three yards as a freshman last year.
I have some major reservations with Robinson returning punts. It's similar to Keon Coleman in 2023. Is the risk worth the reward? Coleman had some electric returns, but also played at less than 100 percent or flat-out missed games because he was banged up.
Squirrel White has some injury concerns to but he has proven he can do it at a high level. Jaylin Lucas or White is a nice combination.
Sam Singleton and Micahi Danzy would be a very nice tandem at kickoff return. We saw Singleton take one to the house last season against Duke.
Special teams is a unit that needs to be special in 2025. The Noles have too much talent not to take advantage of this phase of the game.
