FSU DEFENSIVE LINE HAUL
Florida State football's 2026 recruiting class has been red-hot this summer as the Seminoles now have the 10th-best in the cycle, according to 247Sports Composite. This has been something that has surprised the fan base since they went 2-10 a year ago.
However, this isn't something that shocked me because I knew that head football coach Mike Norvell could develop relationships with a variety of different players, whether it was a high schooler or a transfer. There were countless times when they said that Coach Norvell and his coaching staff "kept it real" for many of them, and that they loved that.
COACH KNIGHTON IS ON A HEATER
Defensive line coach Terrance Knighton has been very productive this summer on the trail, where he has secured four-star Earnest Rankins, four-star James Carrington, four-star Tico Crittendon, and three-star Wihtlley Cadeau.
Coach Knighton even mentioned on social media that he was not finished with acquiring more defensive linemen this cycle. I thought that he might grab five or six during this cycle.
One recruit that I thought they were trending well was three-star defensive end Chris Addison from Franklin High School in Winnsboro, Louisiana.
However, on Thursday afternoon, On3's Steve Wiltfong, Sam Spiegelman, and Michael Langston have put in predictions in favor of Michigan State for Addison. He was expected to decide soon and the Seminoles were thought to be a leader in his recruitment.
Position coach Terrance Knighton hinted on social media that he wasn't done with the job yet with recruiting, so I wonder if they found another prospect that they liked, such as three-star Katrell Webb, or if they are flipping someone else like four-star Cam Brooks (Cal commit), four-star Zavion Griffin-Haynes (UNC commit), four-star Jamarrion Matthews (Bama commit), and three-star Kamron Wilson (Syracuse commit).
