Florida State football dropped the ball in terms of being successful in the second half of the 2025 season. The Seminoles accomplished the feat of defeating Alabama in Week 1, but they couldn't do anything with the momentum.
It was surprising because it looked like they got too confident in themselves and never played with that fire again. The defense has been especially concerning, which has been guided by coordinator Tony White.
There were fans that were skeptical of the 3-3-5 scheme, but there were moments in the year when they fly to the football, and then you get the Florida game, where they allowed running back Jadan Baugh to have 266 rushing yards.
The expectation is that Coach White will return to the Seminoles in 2026, but we will see how the next couple of weeks pan out. With that said, what can the Florida State defense do to get better for the upcoming season?
