These true freshmen are dangerous.

TRUE FRESHMEN MENTIONED

Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell mentioned several true freshmen on the offensive side of the football at the ACC Kickoff press conferences on Wednesday afternoon. The Seminoles had youngsters play last season, but the "youth movement" had to be on display with the team struggling in 2024.

However, some of the freshmen who were talked about were running back Ousmane Kromah, wide receiver Jayvan Boggs, and tight end Chase Loftin. These players have been raved on by the coaching staff previously, so this isn't a shocker.

RB OUSMANE KROMAH

Florida State added former four-star running back prospect Ousmane Kromah from the 2025 cycle. The Georgia Bulldogs were favorites to sign him, but the Seminoles had other ideas. The Georgia native was a summer enrollee, so the program decided to add former Oklahoma transfer Gavin Sawchuk to give him time to adjust to the collegiate game. Nonetheless, Kromah will be a special talent in due time.

WR JAYVAN BOGGS

The wide receiver position was a mess last season for Florida State. This year brings a new approach with new position coach Tim Harris Jr. They added pieces such as USC's Duce Robinson, Tennessee's Squirrel White, and North Carolina's Gavin Blackwell, but they are looking for more pieces to emerge in the rotation. Why can't it be Mr. Florida award winner Jayvan Boggs, who had over 4,500 yards in the last two seasons at Cocoa High School in Florida?

TE CHASE LOFTIN

I get that everyone scoffs at the fact that we are talking about the tight end position. However, it should be noted that the tight end position was something on the Seminoles' roster last season that had promise with Landen Thomas and Amaree Williams. Florida State added former UCF transfer Randy Pittman Jr. and moved Amaree Williams over to defensive end, but Norvell continues to talk about Chase Loftin's playmaking ability. Could he be a candidate to have significant snaps in 2025?
