superstitious, others look at the past, and some are delusional, no matter what facts are presented.

Miami fans usually fall into the latter category, and FSU football fans will have to deal with them next week. However, the focus is on the Virginia Cavaliers this week, as FSU travels to Charlottesville for a prime-time game where all of the focus will be on that matchup.

Listen, FSU was terrible last year, but nonetheless, FSU has been in some huge games over the past couple of years. However, itโ€™s easy to spot as of programs that may not be used to those opportunities, and the Virginia fans fall into that category to a tee. ย

Some have been fairly level-headed and expect Virginia to play hard, but come up anywhere from 7-14 points short of pulling the upset. Virginia has looked impressive offensively against subpar competition, and thereโ€™s a path for the upset to happen. However, some of the things a few Virginia fans have mentioned made me chuckle. Some have pointed to the last time these two programs met in 2019. Others have pointed to the 1995 game, after all, Virginia is wearing throwback uniforms from their 1995 season when they upset FSU at home.

Then it gets really crazy when others mentioned what players did last year while playing with an entirely different set of players when they faced Virginia. ย

Itโ€™s evident that Thomas Castellanos left a Boston College program thatโ€™s devoid of talent and surrounded himself with playmakers everywhere at Florida State. Heโ€™s in an offensive system that fits him to a tee and playing for one of the best offensive minds in college football. What he did last year with those former teammates and a guy who tried to put a square peg in a round hole will have no bearing on what happens Friday night. If we know anything about Castellanos, he remembers what happened last year and will look to make sure history doesnโ€™t repeat itself Friday night.
