FSU FOOTBALL

Florida State will take on Virginia this Friday at 7 PM EST on ESPN. This will be the first road game for the Seminoles, and it could serve as a look-ahead spot as the program faces Miami the week after.

The Seminoles have to be disciplined and play for each other as well as grind through the adverse situations that they might face. The Cavaliers have the upset on their mind, as they are premiering the same uniform combination that they had when they beat the Seminoles in 1995 for Florida State's first ACC loss.

The fan base knew that it wouldn't be easy when the Seminoles' schedule was released. This is an odd Friday night on the road with the nation watching. It could be possible that College GameDay could be coming to Tallahassee next weekend, which could be an exciting time for the city.

CAUSE FOR CONCERN FOR VIRGINIA

Quarterback Chandler Morris has been someone that the fan base is extremely nervous about. He is a veteran signal-caller who has played at Oklahoma, TCU, North Texas, and now Virginia. The six years of experience, plus his production of 1,000 passing yards with nine touchdowns through four games, is worrisome for opponents.

Morris could be a thorn in Florida State's side, but it could be extremely difficult to navigate around the Seminoles' defensive line if the offensive line for the Cavaliers isn't healthy.

Virginia head football coach Tony Elliott stated on Tuesday that starting center Brady Wilson could be hampered by a calf strain.

If Wilson doesn't play, the Cavaliers might be playing musical chairs on the interior of the offensive line, which could be music to the ears of Florida State defensive tackle Darrell Jackson Jr., and could ruin the performance of Virginia quarterback Chandler Morris and his escapability.
