Florida State football's most impressive victory came against the Alabama Crimson Tide in Week 1. This was such an odd experience because the Seminoles went on to finish 5-7, while the Crimson Tide are in the College Football Playoffs against Oklahoma.
The biggest obstacle for Alabama is that they have to travel to Norman after Oklahoma defeated them at home in Tuscaloosa. Overall, this isn't an unstoppable squad in Alabama, but they seem to be much better when they are in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
That is typical for college football teams because it is a more comfortable feeling playing in front of the home crowd. Historically, Alabama has been there and done that in the College Football Playoffs (even though they should not have made it in 2023).
The Seminoles beat Alabama in Week 1 by a score of 31-17, where they played in a sold-out Doak Campbell Stadium. This contest was one of the weirdest outcomes considering how Florida State's season panned out in the end.
Nonetheless, it was noted that Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson gets nervous on the road. The crowd certainly impacted him, even though Simpson is a redshirt junior and should be used to the lights as well as the heavy stakes.
The Oklahoma Sooners handled the Crimson Tide during the regular season when the program had to travel to Tuscaloosa. Turnovers were the name of the game in that one.

The Sooners sent a bit of adversity to the Crimson Tide in the first quarter with taking a 7-0 lead. While this isn't OklahomaChat, defensive coordinator Tony White and his unit set the stage for how to defend quarterback Ty Simpson
.
While Simpson did have 254 passing yards and two touchdowns, he only completed 23 of his 43 passes, the Seminoles had three sacks and seven tackles for loss (according to ESPN Stats and Information).
When the pressure gets to Simpson, there are times when he gets overwhelmed. This is what makes college football so unpredictable because the environments can get to the youngsters in the brightest moments.
