The 2025 NFL Draft will take place later this week, and FSU won't have the same fanfare as a year ago when they were coming off a 13-1 season and 10 players drafted.

A 2-10 season will do that, but talent wasn't the issue with the 2024 team, and two former players continue to ascend mock draft boards as we get closer to the draft.

One of the latest mocks has Azareye'h Thomas and Joshua Farmer among the top 70 prospects. ESPN's Jeff Legwold has Thomas at No. 62 overall and No. 7 cornerback, Farmer at No. 66 overall and No. 10 defensive tackle.

Drafts take shape based on team needs in the early rounds, but defensive tackles and cornerbacks are two of the premier positions where guys get drafted early. The 2024 NFL Draft saw seven or more cornerbacks drafted before the second round concluded. One DT was selected in the first round, and seven were taken in the second round.

If this mock draft holds, Thomas would be a second-round selection, and Farmer likely a third-rounder.

All it takes is one team to fall in love with a player, so it wouldn't be surprising to see one or both go earlier than this projection. Teams can always trade up for players if there's someone they believe is the perfect fit.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have shown much interest in Thomas, and the San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Buffalo Bills have shown interest in Farmer.

Pittsburgh has a first-round (No. 21 overall), third-round (No. 83 overall), and picks in the fourth through seventh rounds. The 49ers have 11 picks in the 2025 draft and eight in the top 160 picks.

Kansas City has eight selections, and Buffalo has 10 selections. I think it's safe to say FSU will have at least two players drafted before the third round ends and could see punter Alex Mastromanno or kicker Ryan Fitzgerald in the late rounds or signed as UDFA. The 2025 NFL Draft will begin take place between April 24th-26th in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
