Florida State football has had a productive transfer portal haul on Tuesday, with having five commitments saying yes to the Garnet and Gold. This is a remarkable sight for head football coach Mike Norvell where the Seminoles need to start winning on the gridiron.

The Seminole faithful thought that the program had to get pieces within the offensive and defensive trenches because even the arch-rival Miami Hurricanes have had their best campaign since the early 2000s due to their trench play.

Florida State grabbed Purdue's Bradyn Joiner and Bowling Green's Nate Pabst on the offensive line to help position coach Herb Hand for the following season. Coach Hand had veteran help during the 2025 season and made the Seminoles have a solid unit.

Paul Bowling is considering the Seminoles in his decision

The Osceola reported that Troy offensive lineman transfer Paul Bowling will be deciding between Florida State and Georgia Tech soon.

The former Trojan wrapped up his visit in Tallahassee and seemed to really enjoy what the Seminoles had to offer. The offensive line will have to replace all five starters from a season ago. Florida State has youngsters such as Sandman Thompson, Andre Otto, and Jonathan Daniels, whom they can build around for the future.

As it stands, he is a true freshman who started for Troy, where he played across the interior of the offensive line. The part that I like the most is that he is versatile, has starting experience, and has multiple years of eligibility remaining.

When Florida State grabbed transfers out of the portal in the offensive trenches, they usually coveted a band-aid where the young offensive linemen had a chance to grow and develop in the scheme that they are being asked.

However, Bowling is a different breed, where Florida State needs to get this done quickly and not let him go to Georgia Tech. Whoever the quarterback is in 2026 (Kevin Sperry or Ashton Daniels), it should be an emphasis to protect him, and Bowling could be the difference maker for that to happen.
