Florida State football is on the clock with getting its roster better as the transfer portal window opens for business for college football teams across the country. The Seminoles have only won seven games in the past two years, so the pressure is on for head football coach Mike Norvell and his squad in 2026 to win now.
They have already seen retention for several current players on the team, such as wide receiver Duce Robinson, cornerback Ja'Bril Rawls, and safety Ashlynd Barker. Plus, safety Earl Little Jr. is rumored to be coming back in the fold as well.
The Seminoles will be hosting several transfers over the next two weeks that could improve their squad and get them over the hump. As it stands, let's review three transfers visiting Florida State this weekend who could potentially commit to the Seminoles in the near future.
OT BRYANT WILLIAMS (LOUISIANA)
Florida State needs some help on the offensive line after assistant coach Herb Hand added a ton of one-year rentals to help elevate the floor of the room. It made a difference, but the Seminoles are back in the market for more help in 2026. One productive piece that is interested in the program is Louisiana offensive tackle Bryant Williams, who already has a crystal ball prediction in favor of Florida State by Noles247's Zach Blostein.
DT JOHN WALKER (UCF)
Veteran defensive tackle Darrell Jackson Jr. is no longer in Tallahassee after exceeding his eligibility. The interior of the defensive line is in good hands with youngsters like Mandrell Desir and Kevin Wynn. However, it is never a bad thing to have more depth at the position group. UCF's John Walker was a former four-star prospect that the Seminoles almost secured out of high school, but he chose to sign with the Knights. It could be different this time around.
CB JAQUEZ WHITE (TROY)
This is a situation where I know the fan base will be questioning this take, since Florida State has retained a ton of their defensive backs for the 2026 season. However, there is almost room to add more defensive backs with Tony White's multiple 3-3-5 scheme that uses many pieces in the secondary. I could have selected South Alabama's Nehemiah Chandler (both could be takes), but Troy's Jaquez White already has Florida State high on his list.
