Jayson Jenkins-Defensive End

Jayson Jenkins was one of the bigger wins for the recruiting staff in the transfer portal after the 2025 season. Jenkins came to FSU from Tennessee, a place that didn’t want to lose him as a player because he has great potential.

However, Jenkins suffered an injury once he arrived at FSU that many thought would force him to miss most or all of the 2025 season.

Jenkins surprised everyone when he returned from the injury before the season and played in the season opener against Alabama. Jenkins played in all 12 games but never made the impact most thought. He only had 16 tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss, one sack, and no quarterback hurries.

Jenkins’ whole career has been based on projections, and he’s yet to live up to his potential. If he hasn’t done it by now? It’s likely not going to happen.
