READY FOR FOOTBALL
The Florida State Seminoles seem to be ready to impose their will on opponents. They defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide in Week 1 by a score of 31-17. The program will be taking on the Virginia Cavaliers at 7 PM EST on ESPN.
The squad will have to show its physicality at the line of scrimmage. The defensive line has gotten pressure, but they need to ensure that they wrap up against the Cavaliers' starting quarterback, Chandler Morris.
DARRELL JACKSON JR. GAME
We at Chop Chat mentioned that Virginia was having offensive line issues for its contest against the Seminoles, which bodes well for Florida State in the trenches to make Morris uncomfortable.
The Cavaliers dropped their official injury report before the game, and starting center Brady Wilson will be out with an injury. You never want to see players sustain injuries, as most individuals want to see Florida State dominate its opponent at full strength.
Wilson will be someone who has been a veteran piece in their position group. The center position is responsible for organizing the offense and making it run smoothly. Chandler Morris is a veteran signal-caller, but Florida State's defensive line is ready to have a breakout game.
This could be a prime opportunity for redshirt senior defensive tackle Darrell Jackson Jr. The veteran came back for his final season in Tallahassee to get himself high recognition from the NFL scouts.
Jackson Jr. has only recorded eight tackles (two for loss) and one sack through three games this season with the Seminoles. With the Virginia offensive line shuffling to the interior, this could be a spot for the former Maryland and Miami transfer to emerge as a dominant force.
