Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell completed a virtual event with the Seminole Boosters. The Seminoles had quite an eventful 2024 campaign, as they finished with a 2-10 record. It was certainly not the standard at Florida State as the program is used to hoisting championships.

Norvell went into the offseason and hired several new coaches on the staff as well as adding many new pieces via the recruiting ranks and the transfer portal. The fan base is excited to see what the team is made of.

Individuals usually get to have a sneak peek of the squad in April during the Spring Showcase. Obviously, Norvell runs the show a little bit different so it isn't much of a game and more of just a glorified practice.

But in April, fans want to inject football into their veins and don't care how they get it. Unfortunately, everyone got some bad news as Florida State announced that they would not be having a Spring Showcase in Doak Campbell Stadium this year due to the stadium renovations.

There were discussions to hold the Spring Showcase outside of Tallahassee, but it does not look likely that it will happen. Honestly, I have always thought that the stadium renovations were a waste of resources. I understand that individuals want to be comfortable when watching the games.

However, I have been a season ticket holder for over fifteen years and I don't care about comfortability as long as the Seminoles find their way to victory.

I know that fans are disappointed by the news since the Seminoles are a lifeblood to them just like it is to me. It looks like it will be that much sweeter when Florida State defeats Alabama in the season opener in the brand-new Doak Campbell Stadium.

Trust me, we at ChopChat will try our very best to keep everyone entertained throughout this long seven-month process. We got this, Nole Family!
