FSU was expected to roll Kent State today and the Semnoles did not disappoint, beating the Golden Flashes 66-10 and gaining nearly 800 yards in the process. It was a "name the score" kind of effort from FSU in dominating one of the worst teams in college football.

However, things got a little frightening in the first half when quarterback Tommy Castellanos suffered a leg injury and had to leave the game. Almost immediately, FSU fans had flashbacks of Jordan Travis getting injured against North Alabama two years ago.

After a weather delay, Castellanos was not warming up with the rest of the quarterbacks and backup Kevin Sperry entered the game. Castellanos did return to the sidelines in full pads with a slight limp, but with the game already out of hand, he did not come back on the field.

He spoke to the media after the game and said everything was fine.

"All good. All good. Just got rolled up a little bit, but all good. I'm still 100 percent, obviously, it was a little scary," Castellanos said.

Offense was running wild in Tallahassee

FSU broke a school rushing record, racking up 498 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground. The Seminoles averaged a phenomenal 9.2 yards per carry against the overmatched Golden Flashes. Gavin Sawchuk led the way with 97 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries and Samuel Singleton Jr. added 86 yards and two scores on 10 carries.

"I credit Coach Malzahn, coach Hand, for pushing us through the week," offensive lineman Gunnar Hansen said. "That was a goal, and we achieved it."

The best stat line of the day probably goes to Micahi Danzy, who had a 64-yard touchdown run and two catches for 112 yards. That's a ridiculous 58.7 yards per touch!

"He [took] a big step today. He showed us, showed the world, what he can do," Castellanos said. "It's exciting to see him play like that. It just shows you that we have depth, and we continue to show that from guys week in and week out."
