This prediction for Florida State football in 2025 was crazy.

FLORIDA STATE FOOTBALL

Florida State football is sitting with a 6.5 over/under win total for the 2025 season, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. This is understandable, given the 2-10 record from a season ago that I never thought was possible.

However, it should be noted that the team adds forty-four transfers and recruits to the roster and hires six assistants to the staff including offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn and defensive coordinator Tony White.

While the squad is "unpredictable" with potentially ten new offensive starters and eight new defensive starters (roughly a projection), it can't be denied that the program is looking for a new sense of life with desperation mode as head football coach Mike Norvell is on the hot seat.

PROJECTED RECORDS FOR FSU FOOTBALL

It wouldn't surprise me to see Paul Finebaum and Greg McElroy have Florida State finish with a 4-8 record, with the reasoning of being unknown. However, six of the top eight teams to win the national championship have first-year starters at quarterback.

I get it... The 2-10 record put a bad taste in everyone's mouth for good reason. It was embarrassing and not the standard for a proud program that is used to competing for conference and national championships.

I was scrolling through Twitter (X) today, and I happened to see this win-loss prediction from College Football Home (link to their profile here). They dropped their projected win-loss prediction for the Florida State Seminoles in 2025. Disclaimer: This is their opinion, and they are entitled to it.

I know there were a bunch of trolls in the comments stating that Kent State could even be a "trap game". However, I know that winning football games was difficult to come by in 2025, but being 6-6 could be viewed as unacceptable for a fan base that wants to see Florida State back in contention sooner rather than later.

Unless major injuries or fluky plays happened, I don't know how head football coach Mike Norvell could stick around in Tallahassee. You know that I am a huge fan of Coach Norvell and his vision, but losing three of the last four to finish the year could be a nail in the coffin.

I do believe that this Seminoles team is more talented than that. I am excited to see Florida State go out there and compete at a high level to make everyone in the Garnet and Gold satisfied.
