Florida State football will be taking on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the friendly confines of Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday, August 30th at 3:30 PM EST on ABC. Can you believe it? We are almost here! The long wait is coming to an end.
The Seminoles had a season to forget in 2024 as the program finished with a 2-10 record. I wish that Florida State had never had to go through the hardships. However, head football coach Mike Norvell had to make some serious changes to change the perception of the program.
Coach Norvell added forty-four transfers and recruits to the roster this offseason. The Seminoles are trying to prove the doubters wrong after last season. The depth chart got released on Monday afternoon, so you know the fans are continuing to talk about the latest development.

One aspect that I noticed about the depth chart is the number of true freshmen on the Seminoles. Is the "FreeTheYoungins" back in place? Seven true freshmen appeared in the projected depth chart.
That is encouraging that the Seminoles' 2025 recruiting class could be a massive hit. I wouldn't be surprised to see Tae'Shaun Gelsey, Kevin Wynn (injured), and Darryll Desir crack the rotation soon.
Florida State had to play its true freshmen in 2024 after the 2-10 train wreck, but this should be a season where the coaching staff plays them because they help the squad win. The Seminoles got a bad rep because individuals think they are just a transfer portal destination and don't develop recruits.
However, the 2025 recruiting class could be an encouraging sign for how the Seminoles' future foundation of the program should be.
