Florida State football fans were highly critical of the renovations of Doak Campbell Stadium. I understand the frustration because individuals are losing the seats that they have had for a long time.

The Seminole Boosters were invited to view Doak Campbell Stadium before Florida State football kicks off against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, August 30th at 3:30 PM EST on ABC. The squad is expected to be much improved from a season that they finished 2-10.

I have been on record saying that I don't care if Doak Campbell Stadium has bleacher seating or not. I will still be standing up and cheering for my Seminoles on a pivotal third down.

I think that the renovations look nice. I don't expect to show favoritism in Doak Campbell Stadium. I realize that the reduction of seating is not ideal, but the university has to be ADA-compliant for individuals. Plus, the stadium needed a facelift.

I am a fan of the spear in the west side lobby of the Doak Campbell Stadium because it reminds me of the Spirit Spear from back in the day. This could bring great memories for a generation of fans.

It is great that Florida State is making renovations to Doak Campbell Stadium, but the reality of the situation is that the Seminoles have to perform up to expectations after the disappointment in 2024. We at ChopChat cannot wait to see all of the fan base packed in the stadium with the Garnet and Gold in hopes of getting a season-opening victory versus Alabama.
